Watch Rocket Lab attempt to recover an Electron Rocket!

Rocket Lab is preparing for its Love At First Insight mission that will launch from Launch Complex-1A, Māhia Peninsula, New Zealand. On the Love At First Insight mission, Electron will carry two Earth-observation microsatellites for BlackSky’s constellation into a 430 km low Earth orbit (LEO) at 42° inclination. Moreover, this mission will mark the third planned ocean splashdown recovery attempt of the company and the first time when a helicopter will be involved in the recovery process by observing Electron’s descent.

Black holes are a paradox. They are paradoxical because they simultaneously must exist but can’t, and so they break physics as we know it. Many physicists will tell you that the best way to fix broken physics is with string. String theory, in fact. And in the black holes of string theory – fuzzballs – are perhaps even weirder than the regular type.

Who will be the KING of the Small Sat Launchers?!

Today I wanted to do a comparison of some key players in the small sat launch industry. With a handful of new launchers getting hardware out on the launch pad, launching and even some getting to orbit, I think now’s a good time to give you a rundown on some of these exciting new rockets and compare them to the Falcon 1 to see if the industry has caught up to what SpaceX was doing 12 years ago!
