Silicon Valley Cities

Ellen’s 4-star review: hello san mateo county! hello redwood city! so this is now my new home, and even though i never visited much before moving here, this city is definitely growing on me. the downtown is definitely growing and becoming more hip, with the big century theatre that anchors theatre way. surrounding the theatre, you will find many places to eat, drink, and hang out such as yoppi yogurt, pizza my heart, the melt, chipotle, arya, and cafe la tartine. i really like the curvy roads and the fact that some are covered in stones/rocks b/c it gives downtown a bit of an old school feel. i grew up on the east coast where most of the big cities still have many, many curvy roads made of cobblestones and rocks, so i am always happy to see this style pop up on the west coast. the caltrain station is easily accessible to downtown rwc as you can just walk downtown as soon as you step off the train. of course, my favourite is the big costco, which is about a mile southeast of downtown. it has the warehouse and gas station, which makes it super convenient for me. so, rwc, we used to be strangers, but we are slowly getting acquainted, and slowly, but surely, i see us becoming very good friends.
